As women with Shielded Hearts, we have all quickly learned that in our lives, there are seasons of fun and happiness, as well as seasons of trials and sadness. However, our desire with Shielded Hearts is to be a sisterhood where we are devoted to each other, rejoicing with those who rejoice, and weeping with those who weep. With this understanding, we can truly connect with each other, mutually encourage each other in the protection of our relationships, and discover together what it truly means to have our hearts shielded by our partners and by God.

At its core, Shielded Hearts is a Christian Faith Based Organization, that recognizes that all people have a faith in something. We also believe that God has provided His Word to us for encouragement, teaching, and offers us the ultimate gift, salvation through Jesus Christ.  We believe the Bible is still as relevant now as when it was written and that it is the foundation for these truths. It is God’s Word, uniquely and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is authoritative on all matter on which it speaks. Shielded Hearts is committed to telling the truth of the saving work of Jesus Christ, of God’s grace to mankind, of the reality of the Trinity and the roll of the Church in God’s plan for the world. Although our beliefs are similar, our leaders come from various denominations and Christian traditions.

We believe that all of the topics we will cover will be relevant to any “police family,” regardless of your spiritual background.  Not all of these topics will be religious in nature; however, we will be sure to be upfront and honest about the content of the meetings in advance so that you can make an informed decision as to whether or not to attend.  All members are welcome to participate in as many, or as few, activities as they would like, regardless of their personal belief system.
