There is an abundance of ways that you can get involved with Shielded Hearts. We know that for some of you, just getting away for 2 hours one morning a month is a stretch. We want you to know that that’s okay, and we would love for you to be involved just as much as you are able. Others of you are just checking us out and seeing if this is something you might be interested in. That’s great too, and we would never push you to get involved in anything you aren’t comfortable with.
If you would like to get more involved, though, we would love to draw on your talents and passions and give you the opportunity to serve. We will need help with:
Monthly Meetings
- Decorations
- Finding Speakers
- Welcome Committee
- Childcare
- Set up/Clean up
- Organizing Resource Lending Library
- Organize table with sale items
- Food
- Mentors
- Organize and/or Host Other Activities
- Writing Cards to Members and Officers in the news
- Collect Donations and Door Prizes
- Help with Administration
- Advertising
- Website Development
- Fund-raising
- Plan Quarterly Dinners
- Writing Articles for "The Badge" and/or other publications
We would like people to serve in an area that best fits their gifts and desires. If you would like to serve in one of the areas listed above or in another area, please let us know! As the saying goes, "Many hands make light work."
