All who are weary...

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."  Matthew 11:28 NIV

Yet another police officer shot... another fight in your marriage... another imagine of the innocent child in the drug house last night...  another breakdown in communication... another birthday party, holiday, or evening by yourself... another few hours of overtime... another child crying for their police parent...  another night of praying for your husband to return safely... another day of feeling weary...

Where do you go for rest? Jesus Christ says we can come to Him. While He doesn't promise to take us out of hard times, He does promise to be with us. Like a good friend, but even better. One who knows us completely, both the good and the bad, yet loves us completely.

To whom does Jesus promise rest? To all who ACKNOWLEDGE that they are not perfect, BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross to take away our sins; and COMMIT to living for Him.

"For God so LOVED the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

During times of instability and uncertainty, Jesus Christ is One who will not change and will not forsake you. He is our sure and certain rest and hope not only in this life, but also in the next!
